Our Teachers

Teacher Katrina:
Katrina joined Dove in 2020. Katrina is a born and raised Oregonian who grew up in Garden Home. She attended Jesuit High School and has a degree in biology/marine biology from Oregon State University. Following college, Katrina spent two years in Florence, Italy doing campus ministry with a missions organization. Most recently she worked for Portland Public Schools as a paraeducator in a middle school Special Ed classroom. When she had her fourth child, she decided to stay at home and focus on being a mom. Katrina decided she didn’t want to say goodbye to the Dove community and was excited to be the assistant teacher, and now the Lead Teacher! Besides hanging out with her family, chickens and puppy in the backyard, you may find Katrina enjoying the beautiful Oregon Coast - her favorite place to be!
Katrina lives in Milwaukie with her husband, three daughters and son. All four children graduated from Dove.

Teacher Nicole:
Teacher Nicole joined Dove as the primary substitute teacher in 2020. She grew up in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She has a degree from Iowa State University in Communication Studies. After graduation, Nicole moved with her husband to Oregon. Prior to Dove, she worked in the OHSU ENT Department, as well as a stay-at-home mom. Her family had the opportunity to live, work and volunteer in China, Israel and Ireland. Travel continues to be one of Nicole's passions. When Nicole's youngest child graduated from Dove, she wasn't ready to say good-bye and became the primary sub. Now Nicole is excited to continue her journey with Dove as the Assistant Teacher. When Nicole isn't teaching, you'll find her cheering at the sidelines of one of the many activities of her children. She also enjoys reading, puzzles, taking long walks and spending time at the Oregon coast.
Nicole currently lives in the Hayhurst neighborhood with her husband, three boys and Chewy, the family dog. Two of Nicole's three children graduated from Dove.
